摘要：
In this talk, we shall introduce the basic concept of cloud computing, and its
position in the paradigm shift of computing.
We then go over the three primary service models of cloud computing,
including SaaS (Software as a Service), PaaS (Platform as a Service),
and IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service).
We shall describe the technology issues in each of these services as well
as their business models.
We shall discuss the industrial strength of Taiwan in these three business
models and also other business opportunities related to cloud computing.

簡歷Biosketch：
Ming-Syan Chen (陳銘憲) is now a Distinguished Research Fellow and the
Director of Research Center of Information Technology Innovation
(CITI) in the Academia Sinica, Taiwan. His research interests include
data mining, cloud computing, databases, and multimedia networking.
In addition to serving as program chairs/vice-chairs and
keynote/tutorial speakers in many international conferences, Dr. Chen
was an associate editor of IEEE TKDE, VLDB Journal, KAIS, and also
JISE, is currently the Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of
Electrical Engineering (IJEE). He is a recipient of the Academic Award
of the Ministry of Eduation, the NSC (National Science Council)
Distinguished Research Award, Pan Wen Yuan Distinguished Research
Award, Teco Award, Honorary Medal of Information, and K.-T. Li
Research Breakthrough Award for his research work, and also the
Outstanding Innovation Award from IBM Corporate for his contribution
to a major database product. Dr. Chen is a Fellow of ACM and a Fellow
of IEEE.
